In 1Thessalonians 5:16-18; we as Christians,those who have surrendered to Christ and repented,are told by Paul to “16Rejoice evermore. 17Pray without ceasing.
18In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
Ok, so,we’ve got plenty to Rejoice about. Don’t we!? We’ve been saved eternally,by a God who wants us,who desires us,who died for us.We didn’t do any of it;He did it all! So,we can rejoice,through everything. Not only that,but we’re extremely thankful. It’s God’s will for us,of course we’re joyful and thankful.
Here’s some verses concerning that.
Philippians 2:17 (King James Version)
17Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.
Philippians 4:6 (King James Version)
6Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Colossians 4:2,12 (King James Version)
2Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
12Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
Oh,see all mixed in with that is this ‘prayer’ thing.It all goes together.
But…..sometimes I forget.
Well,an idea came to me,and if you’ll join with me,we can do this together.
How do we usually remember things? We write them down.(and lose the paper) Right? So,write is on something God has given you;your hand.
It will never leave you.And if it washes off,pray while you’re writing it back down.
I intend for this to become habit.
