It’s a basic white wedding cake recipe from the 1800′s. It’s called 1-2-3-4 cake because it’s made of 1 cup butter,2 cups sugar,3 cups flour and 4 eggs (plus milk,salt,vanilla and baking powder). I was trying out the recipe for a wedding cake I’m making for Saturday.
